is rated in Pellegrino’s Top 25 restaurants in the world. Indulge in a perfect slice of New York cheesecake at Junior’s, or
try the pastrami at the famous Katz’s Delicatessen. In Queens, enjoy authentic ethnic restaurants, from Mexican to Thai.

On Long Island, watch the fishing boats from your table at waterfront bistros like Dave’s Grill on Montauk Harbor. In
Riverhead, the 1896 Tweeds Restaurant & Buffalo Bar gets sizzling reviews for bison steaks, rated excellent by Zagat. On

Outdoor Adventures
Did you know that the Adirondacks has over 3,000 ponds and lakes? The Thousand Islands is home
to the famous St. Lawrence River, where the wreckage of five ships have made it a scuba diver’s
paradise. And these are just a few of the 215 state and national parks that call New York State home.
As you can imagine, you don’t have to travel far to find an outdoor adventure in New York State.
Central New York and the Capital Saratoga regions bring you a host of activities from caverns and golf
courses to balloon flights and tour boat cruises.

The Catskills and Hudson Valley are just a short ride north from New York City, and the beaches
of Long Island are a great way to cool off on a hot summer day. The Finger Lakes are close enough
for a real getaway from most major metropolitan areas. Western New York also provides excellent
opportunities to explore whether it’s Niagara Falls and museums, or Chautauqua Allegheny offering
entertainment from a hike in a park to an opera, plan to stay for a few days at least so you don’t miss
anything!

New York State is a travelers’ paradise, so pack a bag, grab a friend and point your compass towards
the Empire State.
