Promotional Symposium
& Banquet of the 20th CIFIT
On April 7, a group of corporate members
led by AmCham President Harley Seyedin
attended the promotional symposium and
banquet of the 20th China International
Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT),
hosted by the organizing committee in
Guangzhou. This year’s CIFIT will be staged
from Sept. 8th to 11th, with topics such
as the exploration of emerging trends in
international capital flow and the latest
development in global industries.
Meeting with Guangzhou Vice
Mayor Cai Chaolin
On April 18, AmCham South China
President Harley Seyedin and United Airline
Managing Director for Greater China &
Korea Mr. Walter Dias, were well received
by Guangzhou Vice Mayor Cai Chaolin and
his team for a meeting with the Guangzhou
municipal government. The purpose of
this meeting was to discuss the feasibility
of operating direct flights from Guangzhou
to the U.S.. Both sides exchanged ideas on
possible plans for future cooperation.
Meeting with Leaders of
Guangzhou Whopoo District
On April 19, AmCham South China President
Harley Seyedin, CEO of Starneth Europe
B.V., Mr. Chiel Smits, and Deputy GM
of Greenland Group Ms. Chen Meihong,
were well received by government leaders
of Guangzhou Whopoo District. The aim
of the visit was to strengthen commercial
cooperation between AmCham South
China and Whopoo District through the
introduction of business projects. Both
parties parted in a hopeful spirit.
