Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau delegation visit AmCham

Representatives from the Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau, led by Deputy Director Liu Meiying,
visited the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) office. AmCham South China president Dr.
Harley Seyedin and governor Mr. Aaron Finley attended the meeting. After the Bureau's presentation,
AmCham President Dr. Harley Seyedin expressed his interest in enhancing collaboration between the two
organizations and provided a brief overview of the 2023 Special Report on the State of Business in South
China. The meeting provided an opportunity for both parties to discuss potential areas of cooperation and
exchange information about their respective organizations and initiatives.
9 20th anniversary ceremony of Dongguan Fenggang Association

On the evening of March 9, Fenggang Association
of Foreign Invested Enterprises (FIE) held the
inauguration ceremony of the 7th Supervisory
Council and the 20th anniversary celebration of
its establishment. Hundreds of people attended
this event to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the
establishment of Fenggang Foreign Investment
Enterprises Association. American Chamber of
Commerce in South China President Harley Seyedin
attended the event on behalf of AmCham South
China’s over 2,300 members.
10 Spring Reception by Guangdong
Mar Investment Promotion
On March 10, 2023, the Guangdong
Association of Enterprises with Foreign
Investment 2023 Spring Reception was held
in Guangzhou. Chen Yuehua, President
of the Association and Deputy Director of
the Guangdong Provincial Department of
Commerce, hosted this meeting. The Spring
Reception was attended by leaders of
provincial commerce and other government
departments, as well as representatives
from the Hong Kong Government Office in
Guangdong, Hong Kong Trade Development
Council, Macau Investment Promotion Bureau
and various friendly business associations,
totaling more than 200 people. Invited by
Mr. Chen Yuehua, President Harley Seyedin,
the president of the American Chamber of
Commerce in South China was invited to
participate in the event.
