delivered a welcome speech Partners to organize a seminar regarding
Foreign Investment Entities (FIE) Restructuring and
Optimization in China on March 18. More than 100
people attended the seminar, many of whom were
business executives. Ms. Laura Zhang, Ms. Shihua
Wang and Mr. Romy Zhuo, three distinguished lawyers
from Fangda Partners, were invited to share their
expert knowledge.
AmCham President Dr. Harley Seyedin opened the
seminar by delivering a welcome speech. Ms. Laura
Zhang first gave an overview of the relevant Chinese
laws, regulations and judicial interpretations regarding
FIE restructuring. Ms. Zhang is an expert at mergers
and acquisitions, restructuring, equity investment and
general corporate matters. Ms. Shihua Wang then gave
an introduction on different options available for FIE
optimization. Ms. Wang specializes in mergers and
acquisitions, private equity, overseas capital markets
and general corporate. Mr. Romy Zhuo later provided an
in-depth analysis of onshore security offshore loan and
other structures with similar effects. Mr. Zhuo excels at
banking and finance, mainly including cross-border debt
financing, and purchase, recovery and restructuring of
nonperforming assets. The seminar ended with pleasant
discussion between the speakers and audience.
