AmCham Charity Trip to Meizhou
The Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office invited
AmCham South China to revisit Wuxing
Village, Meizhou City to inspect its achievement
in poverty alleviation. AmCHam president
Harley Seyedin attended the Liantang crispy
carp breeding base commissioning ceremony
in late October. Deputy director of Guangzhou
Cooperation Office Ouyang Keyuan, deputy
commander of Guangmei Command, director
of Guangzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office
Liu Baochun and Consul General of Vietnam in
Guangzhou Dang The Hung also attended the
ceremony.
Since 2010, AmCham South China has organized
Charity Series Events every year.
The Chamber and Chamber members have
raised awareness for the need of philanthropy in
partnership with Guangzhou FAO, Civil Affairs
Office, U.S Consulate in Guangzhou, Guangzhou
Women & Children Medical Center, and
Guangzhou Youth Foundation.
AmCham South China’s charity programs aim to
reduce poverty in impoverished villages, deliver
both material and emotional support to villagers,
and help the underprivileged children. Charity
