Hawaii Webinar：
· Current Business Environment with China for Hawaii Companies
The Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT) and
the State of Hawaii Beijing Office (SHOB) conducted the first two of 10 seminars
on November 6 and November 23 via an online platform. The theme of the first
webinar was the Current Business Environment with China for Hawaii Companies,
which aimed to help attendees gain insight on the business environment in China and
determine whether there was a need to modify business strategies given the current
situation between the United States and China.
· Opportunities and Challenges When Doing Business in China
Ms. Xue Kaifang, Deputy Director of Guangdong Board of Gordon Zhang, Director of Hawaii DBEDT Office in Beijing
Investment Promotion, Guangdong Province
The theme of the second webinar was Opportunities and Challenges When Doing
Business in China, which concentrated on helping attendees obtain a better
understanding of their products’ market position in China and cultural differences before
entering the China market. It is worth noting that the public are given free access to all
sessions of the webinar series but need to register for each session separately.
