Craig Allen
The US-China Business Council (USCBC),
the leading organization of US companies
engaged in business with the People’s Republic of
China, named Craig Allen, currently serving as US
Ambassador in Brunei Darussalam, as USCBC’s new
President, effective July 26, 2018.
Craig Allen succeeds John Frisbie as President of
USCBC, which serves leading American companies
in a wide range of industries from its Washington
headquarters and representative offices in Beijing
and Shanghai. Mr. Frisbie has led the group since
September 2004.
Mr. Allen has led the US Embassy in Brunei since
2014. He has spent much of his career in the Asia
region and on China-related issues from various
posts within government. Mr. Allen has three times
been posted to China, most recently serving as the
