The city established many provincial industrial
bases including green coal-based power genera-
tion base, equipment manufacturing base and
high-tech base. With the largest dairy and animal
farming equipment production base in Asia, it
is also the core production region of China’s
grain, edible oil, meat, vegetables, flowers
and nursery stock.

Modern Agriculture
As a demonstration area of National Modern Agri-
culture, Dingzhou has a demonstration base for China’s
pollutant-free agricultural production. It’s also a leading city
for China’s grain production, the key area for vegetable produc-
tion, one of the Top 100 meat and oil plants production bases
and a place of flowers and plants cultivating. With its agricultural
produce resources, the city aims at building a first-rate national
agricultural technology park and four industrial chains,
namely, recycling animal farming, Eco-friendly botani-
cal, grain and oil processing, agriculture and animal
farming equipment.

As an emerging regional center of Hebei Prov-
ince, the city’s ancient, old and new areas are under
constructing synchronously. Among them a 30 square
kilometers new town is the key to develop, which includes a
culture and sports center, a science and education center, a
trade center and an e-commerce base etc. The city is also a
pilot area for the National New-type Urbanization Plan
and a pilot area for National Urban Construction
Investment and Financing Reform.
