On March 14, Mr. Peng Jianzong, vice director of Jiangmen
Bureau of Commerce and his team were well received by
AmCham South China professional staff. During the meeting,
Mr. Peng gave an update on the current state of developments
in Jiangmen. He particularly mentioned the Sino-American
(Jiangmen) Cooperation Park and Jiangmen National Hi-tech
Zone. Both parties had an in-depth discussion about future
cooperation regarding the Jiangmen’s economic promotion
projects.
2016 CHEMBA Alumni Spring Annual
Dinner
On March 20, AmCham South China Governor Mr. Andy Rusie
and AmCham professional staff joined the 2016 CHEMBA
Alumni Annual Dinner at Soluxe Hotel, Guangzhou. Over 500
attendees, including CHEMBA students, alumni, and partners
with CHEMBA program celebrated this event. After the toasts
and opening speeches the banquet commenced with an award
ceremony tastefully accompanied by wonderful performances
by alumni. This event was apart from being a great feast, an ode
to the joyfulness of Spring and a fine chance to experience the
culture and values of CHEMBA program.
Guangzhou International Investment Conference
On March 23, AmCham Governor, Tim Shaver and more
than fifty representatives of AmCham South China corporate
members participated in the 2016 Guangzhou International
Investment Conference, which was organized by the Guangzhou
Municipal Government and Guangzhou Municipal Commission of
Commerce. Following the investment conference in the morning,
three visits were organized. The separate visits included: the
International shipping hub, the International aviation hub, and
the International science and technology innovation hub. The
excursions provided a perfect chance for AmCham members to
find out more about the investment environment in Guangzhou.
Opening Ceremony of Hampton by Hilton
Guangzhou
On March 25, AmCham South China professional staff were
invited to celebrate the opening ceremony of Hampton by Hilton
Guangzhou in Zhujiang New Town. With in all 223 comfortable
