Briefing on Financing Options from
U.S. Export - Import Bank
On March 16, AmCham South China - U.S. Consulate together with
Ronggui Chamber of Commerce co-hosted a seminar on Briefing on
Financing Options from U.S. Export - Import Bank at Hangji International
Financial Center of Shunde. At the seminar, Mr. Richard Pearson, Business
Development Officer for Asia-Pacific at the Export-Import Bank of the United
States (Ex-Im Bank) introduced various financing solutions available to buyers
of U.S. products and services.
Ex-Im Bank commits to protecting against foreign political and commercial
risk, and gives U.S. exporters the ability to offer competitive financing to
their buyers through export credit insurance and loan guarantees. Benefits
to buyers include: improved cash flow, lower interest rates, extended terms,
and establishment of a credit record. Ex-Im Bank works with the buyer’s
commercial bank and does not compete with private sector banks.
The seminar attracted more than 100 attendants. Following the success in
Shunde, another seminar briefed by EX-IM Bank was hosted at Shenzhen office
of AmCham South China.
