On November 25, AmCham
President Harley Seyedin attended
an achievement exhibition of poverty
alleviation and thanks ceremony
organized by the Foreign Affairs Office
of Guangzhou Municipal Government
in the impoverished Zhangdongkeng
Village of Zengcheng City. This event was
highlighted by an award presentation, in
which President Harley was awarded a
plaque that commemorates the Chamber’s
significant contribution to impoverished
villagers’ welfare. Thanks to the assistance
and cooperation of various organizations,
beautiful boutique hotels were built and
are now open for business in this destitute
village. We highly recommend a stay in
these nostalgic countryside hotels. By
enjoying the pretty architecture and the
pleasant landscape, you now automatically
contribute to the alleviation of poverty
among the locals in this community.
