On August 27 Deyang Investment Promotion Seminar was held at
Dongfang Hotel Guangzhou. At the meeting officials from Deyang,
Sichuan briefed the guests on the investment environment in the
area. Attendees were encouraged to propose and discuss potential
cooperation opportunities.
Inspection and Quarantine Policies Promotion
On August 27 Inspection and Quarantine Policies Promotion was
held at China Inspection and Quarantine Mansion. The promotion
featured explanations of China’s implementation situation of
FTAs and the application procedures for certificates of origin. The
Promotion was widely received as ‘very useful’ by the audiences.
Meeting with Guangxin Trade Development
On August 27 officials with Guangdong Guangxin Trade
Development Co., Ltd. were received by President Harley
at AmCham South China National Headquarters Office and
Conference Center. After closing deals with San Antonio
enterprises during a prior AmCham trip to Texas, the company is
to seek out more investment opportunities both domestically and
abroad.
Garden Hotel 30th Anniversary
On August 29 President Harley was invited to celebrate Garden
Hotel 30th anniversary. The amazing gala, in a mixture of modern
elegance and traditional Lingnan style, was attended by well over
500 guests. In light of the long-term friendly cooperation between
Garden hotel and the chamber, President Harley conveyed his best
wishes for a glamorous and successful future.
