One Belt One Road” Investment & Trade Fair July 2015

From June 19 till 21, AmCham South China was invited to attend
the China (Shenzhen) “One Belt One Road” Investment & Trade
Fair. The event was hosted by China Council for the Promotion
of International Trade (CCPIT) Shenzhen Council. At the fair, the
council also initiated the plan to establish a Silk Road Investment
and Trade Promotion Union to further promote the “One Belt One
Road” economic development strategy.
Hong Kong SAR Anniversary
On July 1, AmCham South China’s professional staffs joined the
18th Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Anniversary
at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Guangzhou. The event, which featured
delicious Chinese food and lively music, was joined by hundreds of
political officers, foreign diplomats and business leaders from the
international community.
U.S. Independence Day
On July 2 the 239th U.S. Independence Day celebration was
held at the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou. Hundreds of
foreign diplomats, local politicians and business leaders from
the international community, attended the event. Among them
AmCham South China President Harley Seyedin and the chamber’s
board of governors.
Dongguan Hong Kong Economic
Communication Seminar
On July 3, The Association of the Hong Kong Members of
Dongguan’s (Hong Kong & Macau) Chinese People’s Political
Consultative Conference Committee hosted a Dongguan-Hong
Kong Economic Communication Seminar at Dongguan Exhibition
International Hotel. Discussed at the Seminar were ways to
foster mutual economic growth and how to adjust to new normal
economy.
