4.5 Generally speaking, a vast majority of surveyed enterprises (82.7%)
Business considered the overall business environment in Southern China as
Environment & “good” or “very good” and the results are similar to those in previous years
Challenges though with a very slight fluctuation. This implies a relatively stable and
good business environment in South China.
Most of the respondents believed that the business climate in South-
ern China improved in 2017 compared with that in 2016. However,
the number of respondents who believed that the business environment
in South China had been upgraded to a certain degree or comparable
decreased to some extent year-on-year. While this indicates continuous
improvement, it also implies a need to maintain progress.
