14 Opening Ceremony and 13 Lecture at Jinan University
April Welcome Reception of the April IPR Institute
133rd Canton Fair
Dr. Harley Seyedin, President of
AmCham South China, was invited
to attend the Opening Ceremony and
Welcome Reception of the 133rd Canton
Fair held at the Westin Hotel, Guangzhou
on April 14th. Dignitaries including Vice
Minister of Commerce, Wang Shouwen,
Guangdong Governor, Wang Weizhong,
and numerous business executives and
government officials were also present at
the event. The Canton Fair, which had fully
resumed offline this year, attracted over
34,000 exhibitors, making it one of the
largest in history.
On April 13th, Dr. Harley Seyedin, President of
AmCham South China, served as a visiting professor
at Jinan University's IPR Institute, introducing and
explaining the 2023 Special Report to law students and
answering their questions. Dr. Seyedin's lecture was both
enlightening and engaging, as he discussed the 2023
Special Report, which he had introduced and explained
in great detail. The students were captivated as they
learned about the latest developments in intellectual
property rights and how these developments will affect
the world of business in the coming years.

27 AMCHAM SOUTH CHINA and GDToday launched a story-sharing event at Zhujiang
Park in Guangzhou on April 14. Themed "Canton Fair, Hello
Again," the event invited representatives of chambers of
commerce and enterprises from home and abroad to share
their stories with China's oldest and largest trade fair.
AmCham South China president, Dr. Harley Seyedin was invited
to share his stories. During the salon, he said, "AmCham South
China has and
will continue to
work closely with
each other to
help American
companies take
advantage of
the gold mine
of opportunities
presented by the
Canton Fair."
