AmCham South China Presents at the 2021 Shenzhen
Dec Global Investment Promotion Conference

With the theme of “New Era, New Journey—Invest in Shenzhen, Build
a Winning Future”, the Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government
hosted the 2021 Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference at the
Shenzhen Wuzhou Guest Hotel on December 15. As always, the conference
was attended by the leaders of nearly every think tank in China and leading
experts from around the world. At the direct invitation of the Commerce
Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, AmCham President Dr. Harley Seyedin
was invited to attend the conference and delivered remarks. He expressed
his sincere congratulation representing the views of AmCham's more
than 2,300 members. In the congratulation video, Dr. Harley Seyedin
mentioned that the members of AmCham South China have budgeted more
than US$18 billion in cash in order to reinvest in the next 3-5 years, and
the prospect of reinvestment in China is positive. The European Union
Chamber of Commerce in China and the American Chamber of Commerce
in South China were the only two foreign chambers invited to attend at
this very high-level forum.The conference was a resounding success. Dr.
Harley also had a pleasant dialogue with Wang Wei Zhong, the Secretary
of Shenzhen Municipal Party committee (New Acting Governor of Dr. Harley Seyedin and Mr. Wang Wei Zhong,
Acting Governor of Guangdong.

VYNMSA and Mexican Consulate in Guangzhou
hosted an online webinar themed “Economic
Benefits for Chinese Companies Investing on
Industry in Mexico” on December 17. The online
webinar introduced the economic benefits for
Chinese Companies to invest in Mexican industry
and explained why China’s companies should operate
inside an industrial park. AmCham President Dr.
Harley Seyedin was invited to attend the online
webinar and deliver a speech. Dr. Harley mentioned
that economic development of Mexico is now in many
ways intertwined with the US and Chinese economies.
As a result, China’s trade with North, Central and
South America will open many doors and offer many
opportunities for Mexico.
