AmCham-Fangda Partners Seminar
on Trade Secrets Protection

AmCham South China, together with Fangda Partners,
held a seminar about trade secrets protection at the Four
Seasons Hotel Guangzhou on December 15. VIPs attending
the seminar included IPR Attache of USPTO Conrad Wong,
Governor of AmCham South China, and Senior Manager of
Nike May Qiu.
AmCham president Harley Seyedin opened the seminar by
extending a hearty welcome to all the participants and briefing
the current state of business in South China. Afterwards, Partner of
Fangda Partners Dixon Zhang gave an overview of the latest changes of
Chinese laws. Partner of Fangda Partners Fang Qi illustrated some best-case studies of how foreign
companies effectively enforced their trade secrets in China and strategic considerations. Partner of
Fangda Partners Claudia Yun elaborated the building of internal compliance system for trade secret
protection. While Partner of Fangda Partners Kate Yun made detailed and in-depth interpretations
on the latest export control regulation.
