Safe at the Source!
Every year for many years, AmCham South
China, together with the U.S. Consumer
Product Safety Committee (CPSC), have co-
hosted Consumer Product Safety Training
for Buyers and Sourcing Professionals.
This year is no exception. With an amazing
turnout of over 400 attendants at the
March 15 event, the training promised a
spectrum of consumer safety information
needed for penetrating multiple markets.
CPSC is committed to protecting consumers
and families from products that pose a fire,
electrical, chemical, or mechanical hazard.
CPSC works to ensure the safety of consumer
products - such as toys, cribs, power tools,
cigarette lighters, and household chemicals -
contributed to a decline in the rate of deaths
and injuries associated with consumer products
over the past 40 years.■
