On the morning of February 28th, AmCham President Dr. Harley Seyedin
and his team attended the Promotion Conference of the New Metropolis for
Global Makers & 2017 Urban Renewal Projects in Nanhai District of Foshan
City. The AmCham team has been invited by Times Property, who signed
an MOU of co-founding the New Metropolis for Global Makers project with
the Chamber, along with other innovative industry leaders. The conference
introduced the vanguard project of Times Property to the public to win over
potential investment.
Meeting with Director General of Department of Commerce of
Guangdong Province
On the afternoon of February 23rd, AmCham office received the Director
General of Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province, Mr. Sun Bin
and his team. During the meeting, AmCham President Dr. Harley Seyedin
shared more information about the APCAC Business Summit in April, and
secured the confirmation of attendance of the Senior Leader of Guangdong,
with the province lending the Chamber its full support.
Meeting with Former Vice Chancellor of Austria
On the afternoon of February 21st, 2017, former Vice Chancellor of Austria
Dr. Androsch and his team paid a visit to the AmCham office and had a
constructive meeting with AmCham President Dr. Harley Seyedin and his
team, discussing the upcoming White Paper Press Conference on March 1st.
Walking Across Tongji Bridge in Chancheng, Foshan
Upon the cordial invitation of Chancheng District, AmCham President Dr.
Harley Seyedin and his team had the pleasure of joining its annual traditional
event, that of walking across the Tongji Bridge on February 11th, the day of
the Lantern Festival. With lucky pinwheels in hand, local citizens and their
invited guests passed the bridge, murmuring “行通济，无闭翳”, which means
that luck and health shall favor those who perform the act of walking across
Tongji Bridge. The festive event extended until late night in the evening.
