Meeting with the U.S. Consul General in Guangzhou
The AmCham office was honored to receive the U.S. Consul General in
Guangzhou, Mr. Charles Bennett, on the afternoon of February 23rd.
AmCham President Dr. Harley Seyedin briefed the Consul General on the
Chamber’s accomplishments. Certain results of this year’s Study and points
of the White Paper Press Conference were discussed as well.
Meeting with Deputy Director General of Xiamen Municipal
Bureau of Convention & Exhibition Affairs
On the morning of February 15th, the AmCham office welcomed the Deputy
Director General of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention & Exhibition
Affairs, Mr. Qiu Guoyue, and his team. A meeting ensued to facilitate long-
term cooperation between AmCham and CIFIT and a discussion focusing on
the upcoming APCAC to be held in April.
AISG 35th Anniversary Art Exhibition
On the afternoon of February 21st, 2017, AmCham President Dr. Harley
Seyedin and his team were guests at AISG’s 35th Anniversary Art Exhibition
at Guocai Art Gallery on Ersha Island in Guangzhou. The exhibition
celebrates and honors AISG’s heritage through an archival photography
exhibition displaying work done by its students.
New Year’s Reception of Ronggui Chamber of Commerce
On the night of February 24th, AmCham President Dr. Harley Seyedin and
his team attended the New Year’s Reception of the Ronggui Chamber of
Commerce. The night witnessed an establishment of partnership between
AmCham South China and Ronggui Youth Chamber of Commerce, with an
MOU signing ceremony. Highlights of the evening included charity auctions
and lucky draws.
