And the city is therefore listed as an International Land Port City
by the UN ESCAP. One-stop service is available between Yiwu
Customs and that of Shanghai and Ningbo. Global express delivery
giants like FedEx and shipping agencies such as Maersk have set up
their branch offices in Yiwu.
Global E-commodity Center
E-commerce in Yiwu is showing strong momentum of development. More
than 24,000 registered e-business accounts are operating in the city. The
daily express deliveries amount to 2.5 million, out of which 600,000 are
international packages. The density of domestic e-commerce dealers ranks
the first in China, while that of cross-border e-commerce dealers is only
second to Shenzhen. In 2015, the city’s e-commerce transaction with more
than 100 countries and regions recorded 151.1 billion RMB.
Special Trade Zone for Innovation and Efficiency
Yiwu is approved by the State Council to carry out the only county-level
comprehensive reform pilot program in international trade. The initiative is part
of endeavor to facilitate global trade. The city also takes the lead to reform its
finance and land sectors while trying out the market procurement trading approach.
It takes only 3 days to register a foreign-invested company in Yiwu, and the fastest
case to finish the customs clearance procedures for exported commodities only takes
1 minute. Yiwu Customs, quarantine and inspection, and other foreign-related services
are fully functional. In addition, foreign dealers can apply for 2-year residential permits.

border RMB settlement.
