Meeting with Leaders from the
Investment Promotion Department of
Guangzhou Municipal Commission of
Commerce
On July 13th, AmCham president Harley Seyedin met
with Director Chen Kaihe and his team at the AmCham
Tower, Guangzhou. The representatives discussed
opinions and statistics as presented in the White Paper
on Business Environment in South China. Both parties
expressed strong interests in facilitating and consoli-
dating further cooperation between AmCham members
and the local government.
APEC CEO cocktail night
On July 3rd, AmCham President Harley Seyedin at-
tended cocktails in Shenzhen Wuzhou Hall. This styl-
ishly organized event skillfully combined business and
pleasure and was attended by CEOs from a number of
large enterprises, including Baidu, Intel. Kang Jingwei
CEO from Ingdan gave a well-informed speech on the
latest innovations for a new age that’s coming. The en-
suing discussion was eagerly joined by other corporate
leaders present.

Industrial Co. Ltd.
On July 21, CEO Mr. Tang Yuli and his team from Guang-
zhou Zhongtang Industrial Co, Ltd visited AmCham Presi-
dent Harley Seyedin and his team at the AmCham Tower,
Guangzhou. Both parties exchanged opinions on the cur-
rent South China’s business environment and concluded
that there is lots of common ground to be shared with
respect to a variety of issues. Among the topics discussed
were possibilities and strategies for future cooperation.
