assumed duties as the Consul General
(CG) of the United States of America
Consulate General in Guangzhou, China.
Upon arrival, Mr. Bennett said “I am
honored to be serving in South China,
where U.S.-China relations began 239
years ago. I look forward to working
with our Consulate team to further
ties between the U.S. government and
government and business leaders in
South China on a wide-range of issues
including trade, investment, education,
travel and tourism promotion and
people-to-people exchanges. I am also
very excited to have the opportunity to
live in Guangzhou and learn about the
people, history, culture and cuisine of
this dynamic and important region of
China.”
