Dear Members,
As you are undoubtedly aware, a 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province early yesterday morning. The event itself and the ensuing aftershocks have caused hundreds of casualties and thousands more injuries.
As we have with previous disasters on the Mainland, we are encouraging friends and members to aid rescue attempts and provide materiel relief by donating funds and supplies directly to qualified charitable organizations, particularly those with whom you have worked in the past.
