2009 Shenzhen Icebreaking Party

Every quarter of the year AmCham hosts the “Ice-Breaking” Party for our newly joined members to meet with the old ones of this big family. On June 11, 2009, such party was held at the JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen, and over 100 new members came together with their new friends and colleagues.
Also joining the party were members of the Shenzhen diplomatic corps and our good friends from the media in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
The evening was a special Southeast Asian-style buffet with soft and melody music.
The party was not just food and music, however, business to be done, many new people to be met. Conversation fluttered hither and thither.
Additionally, five lucky winners were drawn out by Dr. David Hon, Governor of AmCham South China, and Mr. Colin Young, General Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen. The great prizes included free stay or buffet dinner provided by Futian Shangri-la, Shenzhen, Fraser Place Serviced Residences Shekou, Shenzhen, as well as JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen.
It certainly seemed that everyone at the party that evening shared this optimistic sentiment as they partook of the fruits of AmCham South China’s collective mission alongside those of the vine.
