Harley Seyedin is CEO of First Washington Group and President of American Chamber of Commerce in South China. Under his direction since 1991, First Washington achieved firsts in many areas in China , including: The first majority western owned power plant; first western invested toll road; and, first US accredited joint university. In 1991 President George Bush recognized Mr. Seyedin for his involvement with the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Appointed by three governors of the State of Maryland to four terms of office he served as Chairman of Montgomery College and State Chairman of the Maryland Association of Community Colleges representing all seventeen colleges in the State. He served on the Board of Directors of the Kennedy Institute, by appointment of Cardinal James A. Hickey. He was a recipient of an award in business from the US Department of Commerce. He received recognition from The US Senate Sergeant At Arms for his service to the US Senate Deliberations. He served two terms on the Maryland Advisory Board of the United States Civil Rights Commission. Harley is also Vice Chairman for Policy, Asia Pacific Council of American Chamber of Commerce.

I have been serving as Vice President of American Chamber of Commerce in South China for the past two years and as Governor since 2003. Currently, I am the Vice President of Amway Greater China and Chief Financial Officer of Amway Southeast Asia Region. I have been working and living in Guangzhou for 10 years. Joining AmCham in South China in 1997, Amway China has been a very devoted member in the past years, who has actively sponsored and taken part in meetings, seminars and other programs organized by AmCham in South China . This is also part of Amway's mission to promote Sino-US bilateral relationship and free trade between the two countries. With my background in Finance and my experience of doing business in China , particularly my passion to provide opinions and services to all the member companies, it's my great honor to continue working on our common interest.

Royal Service Air-Conditioning a wholly owned USA based company . Royal S ervice group has been established in China since 1995 expanding its operation to Shanghai , Xaimen, and Beijing and now Asia Pacific . Royal will continue to promote energy efficient Air Conditioning building design as it continues positive business growth . Tom is a group director; he also is a systems operation director for China . Royal group includes Royal industries and services Asia Pacific and the USA marke ts. Tom has served on the Board of Directors since 2002 and as an officer of the board serving as Secretary since 2004.
Royal group promotes American engineering throughout Asia Pacific. He has enjoyed working with the American chamber of commerce servic ing not only large businesses but small bu siness groups. With the continuing effort of the board and its members the organization stands firm today in its mission .

I, Tim Wen, Vice President and China Senior Representative of Allway Co. from Seattle , Washington , have worked for the small and medium-sized enterprises in the industries of Banking, IT, B&F, and PS as well as on the boards of several non-profit organizations in the US . I have been very active in the communities both in US and China .
It is my great pleasure to have been a member of AmCham in South China for 11 years and served AmCham as Treasurer for years. I am yearning to continue my service for fellow members of AmCham in the coming year, as it is the best organization for individuals and enterprises to rely on when doing business in China . Realizing the great power of rally of all of the small and medium-sized enterprises, I am ready to speak out for them as well as individuals and large corporations. I will spare no efforts on serving fellow members with my many years of experience of serving non-profit organizations and charities.

David Wei Zhang is currently working as a Vice President at Bank of America in South China. The task is to bring Bank of America’s expertise in both corporate banking and fast growing investment banking business to companies in South China. Before that, David was helping Shanghai Pudong Development Bank in establishing a joint venture funds management company, during 2004 to 2005. And prior to that, he was working in an investment advisory venture, by the name of Hermes International Investment and Advisories Co., Ltd., from 2002 to 2004. Before that, he was working for Bank of America, Shanghai Branch, serving as a credit officer from 1995 to 2002. He completed a few deals for MNCs, including General Motors, Philips, etc. David received an MBA degree from Webster University and a BA degree in English and American Literature from Shanghai International Studies University.

Mr. Alex C. Yim is the Managing Director and Chief Representative of FedEx South China Region, effective May 2005. Based in Guangzhou, Mr. Yim is responsible for the overall strategic planning, administration and management of operations in the South China Region which is comprised of the ten (10) provinces south of the Yang Tze River.
Prior to that, Mr. Yim had worked for 8 years as the Managing Director of FedEx in Subic Bay, Philippines, where he managed the FedEx Asia Pacific Hub operations.
Mr. Yim knows China very well as he used to work in Beijing for three years, from 1994 to 1997, as Senior Manager and Chief Representative of FedEx Beijing Office, and before that he was the Senior Manager for International Operations for FedEx in Hong Kong from1992 to 1994.
Mr. Yim is a veteran with FedEx. He has been working for the company for the past 24 years. Mr. Yim joined FedEx in 1982, when he started as a courier in New York City. He also worked at various management positions in different locations in the U.S. for the company from 1986 to 1992.
Mr. Yim holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (2003) from Columban College in the Philippines. He also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (1980) and a Bachelor of Education Degree (1979) from the University of Manitoba in Canada.

The Dahon Group, including four companies in the U.S., Taiwan, China and Macao, is world renowned for being a pioneer in high-tech bicycle products. The Group has been awarded many prestigious international awards, including the “National Invention Achievement Award” of Taiwan, and has been mentioned in the “ Guinness Book of World Records”. Before forming the Dahon Group 25 year ago, Dr. Hon was an assistant professor of physics at Cal Poly and USC, and Sr. Physicist and Manager at Hughes Aircraft Labs, Malibu, CA. After finishing high school in H.K., he received his B.A. in Physics from U.C., Berkeley, and PH. D .in Physics from U. of Southern California. Dr. Hon holds over 100 patents. He is a subcomittee vice chair in QBPC, and Chairman of the IPR Committee of the SZ Union of Industries, among other services.

I have been a member of Amcham South China since its inception in 1995. I was the President of Amcham Guangdong for two terms in 1996 and 1997. I am a California attorney where I started practicing law since 1977. I have worked and lived in Guangzhou since 1993 when my law firm was the first U.S. law firm approved by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC to open a branch law office in South China . We also received approval to set up a second office in Beijing in December, 2002. I want to rejoin the Board of Amcham as a Governor because I feel the American Chambers of Commerce worldwide as well as that of China is a very important institution to represent and advocate the interests of U.S. businesses for that locality. I would like to offer the knowledge and experience I have gained during these years in China to continue to make Amcham South China the most effective organization in this area.

Mr. Joe Zhou is the chief representative of American Appraisal Guangzhou office. In this position, Mr. Zhou handles liaison with multi-national & domestic clients for preparation of valuations and is responsible for business development in relation to multinational corporation inbound investment and Chinese enterprises' foreign listings and acquisitions in South China. American Appraisal is the longest-serving and largest assets valuation group worldwide, which has successfully served about 85% of the Global Fortune 1,000 companies in dealing with M & A, JV and investment.
Joe Zhou is a MBA of Southern Cross University Australia and has substantial work experience in different cities in PRD. Joe Zhou once was the Co-Chair of the IPR committee of American Chamber of Commerce in South China and has been serving as the governor of the Chamber since 2004. Committed himself to the Chamber as he promised, Joe Zhou has been participating in Chamber's event actively and does spend time helping the growth of the chamber as a volunteer. Joe believes that the benefit to the members shall be of the prime consideration by the chamber. Joe takes it as his honor to have an opportunity to continue to serve the chamber and all of its fellow members.

Simon Foo, graduate of University of Dalhousie, Canada, has been in insurance business for over 20 years and is currently General Manager of AIG General Insurance Company China Limited Guangdong Branch (predecessor – AIU Insurance Company Guangzhou Branch), which is a member of American International Group, Inc., the leading international insurance organization with operations in more than 130 countries and jurisdictions.
Simon is a fellow of Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance. Prior to his relocation to China in 2003 as General Manager of AIU Insurance Company Shenzhen Branch, he worked in various AIU offices in the region including Malaysia , Singapore and Indonesia . He is now also Vice President of Guangdong Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, and Executive Director of Guangdong Insurance Association, as well as Governor of The American Chamber of Commerce in South China . His social and networking skills have enabled him to establish a cordial relationship with varied resources.
