2007 AmCham Summer BBQ

“We had great weather, and the early rain helped to cool the weather down a bit,” said AmCham South China President Harley Seyedin of the 2007 AmCham Summer BBQ. “It was a really wonderful opportunity for families to get together and spend a Saturday afternoon with loved ones and friends—and that’s really what it is all about: families and friends enjoying themselves.”

Held this year at the King Manor Palace in Panyu, and featuring acrobats, “X-Games”, bouncy castles, a conjuror and more, the AmCham Summer BBQ hosted more than 500 people for food and fun.

This year AmCham also hosted the Awards Ceremony for the 2007 Guangzhou Youth Baseball League, inviting all players and their families to watch a video of season highlights, receive a trophy from the League’s Commissioner, and also a small gift from the Chamber—each player received a set of baseball cards featuring themselves and their team. Hang on to those, guys, they might be worth something someday!

The AmCham team had a great time, and hopes all the attendees did as well. Judging from the photos, we think they did!
