AmCham South China's delegation to the 11th CIFIT

Instead of an editorial on AmCham South China’s delegation to the 11^th CIFIT in Xiamen this year, we felt it would be worthwhile to let all who didn’t attend see what others were saying about our delegation instead. The following pages include articles, photos and quotes from AmCham members and also the press. First, however, we would like to point out a few facts:

An estimated 13,000 people from 109 countries attended (each of whom received the CIFIT Special Edition of China Daily in the following pages), signing agreements for 1,070 investment projects worth an estimated 22.99 billion USD.

Our delegation included:

• 33 Chairmen, CEOs, Presidents, Directors and General Managers
• 3 Officers from the U.S. Embassy in Beijing
• 3 Officers from the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou
• The Vice President and GR Manager of the U.S. China Business Council in China
• The President and Treasurer of AmCham Shanghai
• 2 embedded reporters from Guangdong TV

We met with 4 Governors and 2 Mayors, and at our annual cocktail party we hosted nearly 500 leaders from government and industry from all over the world.
