China Power,Oil&Gas 2008 Conference and Exhibition Gazes into the Future of China’s Energy Market
PennWell Corporation, event organizers of the world renowned POWER-GEN Conference series and China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME), announced that the CHINA POWER, OIL & GAS 2008 (CPOG) Conference and Exhibition would be held from 2 to 4 September in Pazhou Complex Exhibition Centre in Guangzhou during the press conference “CHINA POWER, OIL & GAS 2008 Conference and Exhibition Gazes into the Future of China’s Energy Market”, which was held at the China Hotel in Guangzhou on August 4, 2008. CPOG is jointly organized by PennWell and CCCME, with the support of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China (AmCham South China), Independent Power Producers Forum (IPPF) and The Hong Kong Association of Energy Service Companies (HAESCO). This is the first high-level energy, oil and gas exhibition of its kind to be held in China.
Representatives of all organizing and supporting organizations, including: Yao Wenping (Deputy Chairman of CCCME), Mr. Glenn Ensor (Director of Events, Pennwell Corporation), Mr. Harley Seyedin (Precedent of AmCham South China), Mr. Joel Laykin (Secretary General of IPPF) and Mr. Dominic Yin (Chairman of HAESCO) delivered speech to introduce the aim, significance and prophase preparation situation of the CHINA POWER, OIL & GAS 2008 (CPOG) Conference and Exhibition.
AmCham South China President Harley Seyedin remarked on the press conference, "Guangdong isrightfully the center of attention on this issue. Our more than 1,200members consistently report 'Greater openness than other parts of China' asbeing a top reason for investing in South China, and Guangdong inparticular. Energy-related issues which we face today demand harmonioussolutions that are only possible through the close cooperation of governmentand industry. The government of Guangdong province is at the forefront ofthe drive for sustainable solutions. What remains is for we of the businesscommunity to walk through the doors the government, PennWell and the CCCMEare opening and invest in our collective future."
