Symposium with Representatives from Foreign Business
June Organizations in Guang Dong
In order to help foreign-funded enterprises develop
better in Guangdong, the Guangdong Council for the
Promotion of International Trade held a "Symposium
of representatives of foreign commercial institutions in
Guangdong" in Guangzhou on the morning of June 27.
Representatives of 14 foreign commercial institutions in
Guangdong, including the United States, the European
Union, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and
Australia, as well as leading comrades of the Provincial
Foreign Affairs Office, the Provincial Development and
Reform Commission, the Provincial Department of
Commerce, and the Guangdong Branch of the General
Administration of Customs attended the symposium.
AmCham South China President Dr. Harley Seyedin was
invited to speak to the Symposium. During his speech, he
pointed out that Guangdong has continued to promote
a market-oriented, sound, international and legal
business environment to ensure liberalization in trade.
The American Chamber of Commerce in South China will
spare no effort to support and assist CCPIT Guangdong
in building a high-quality business environment with
international competitiveness and contribute to the
economic growth of Guangdong province.

To introduce the story of the Canton Fair to the world, Guangdong Radio and Television invited
AmCham South China President Dr. Harley Seyedin and one of the AmCham members to be
interviewed for a documentary (Canton Fair, Global Share). The production was carried out by
Guangdong Radio at the AmCham office and Apex (Guangzhou) Tools & Orthopedics Co. on June
29. During the shooting, Dr. Harley Seyedin shared his story of his first participation in the Canton
Fair and his deepest feeling about the Fair as a veteran of the Canton Fair for over 30 years.
