international golf tournament and Texas BBQ Networking Dinner on
March 28. More than 100 people attended the event including Consuls
General from seven Consulates General in Guangzhou.
The tournament started right on schedule at 11:30 a.m. after a group photo.
All golf players were divided into 25 groups, each with four players. They were
engrossed in the competition and wanted to show their best golf skills.
One of the funniest parts of the tournament was the Hole-In-One. With an
attractive prize of RMB 10,000, many players were eager to give it a shot.
Even though it was an enlarged 38.1 cm hole (15 inches), many players still
found it difficult to make it. It was a pity that no players won the Hole-In-
One. Nevertheless, there were still some good news. Another highlight of the
tournament was the result announcement. The winners of Men’s Nearest to
the Pin were Mr. Jiang Sen Lin and Mr. Chen Guan Yu, the winner of Men’s
Straight Drive was Mr. Joseph Talpe, the winner of Ladies Straight Drive was
Ms. Ruby Wang. The Champions were Mr. Gu Jian Ding, Mr. Wang Zhen
Xun, Mr. Li Yong Wei and Mr. Chen Ke. The 2nd place winners were Mr.
Zhang Guang Xing, Mr. Luo Cheng Guo, Mr. Gan Bing, Mr. Wu Xiao Sheng,
and the winners of the 3rd place were Ms. Jasmine Fleischer, Mrs. Hong, Mr.
Lee Jae Hwan.
As the night fell, palatable food and exquisite dessert began to be served. All
people were immersed in eating and networking.
