THE SOUTH CHINA Business Journal (SCBJ) is a monthly, English-
language publication of the American Chamber of Commerce in South
China which covers the U.S.-China trade relationship, local business news
and chamber events.
Its regular circulation of more than 7,000 includes members of AmCham
South China and other chambers of commerce, officials from the Chinese
government and the foreign diplomatic corps in South China, guests of select
hotels and members of the greater international community.
During the Canton and Shenzhen High-Tech Fair periods (April and October),
circulation increases to 25,000 as copies are distributed to a wider range of
hotels for in-room placement.
DEMOGRAPHICS
The South China Business Journal is read by English-speaking business
leaders in China and the United States. Each copy is estimated to be read by
three to four senior executives within each recipient organization, resulting
in a total estimated readership of 30,000.
In addition to corporate readers, the SCBJ is also distributed to governmental-
and non-governmental organizations such as other foreign chambers of
commerce and advocacy groups within China, organizations within the
Chinese government including the Investment Promotion Agency; the
Bureau of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation; the China Council for
the Promotion of International Trade; the China Chamber of International
Commerce and the Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission,
