A Destination for Exploration and Adventure
Remnants of ancient civilizations. Legendary
mining towns. Jaw-dropping scenery. And, heart-
pounding excitement. Among all the 50 states in the U.S.,
Arizona stands out as one of the most vivid—and vibrant. It’s
a place of exploration and adventure, and there’s no better
way than to experience it yourself.
Metro Phoenix
The metro Phoenix area is a good place to start with a vibrant
dining and art scene along with world class museums and
sporting events. With more than 325 days a year of sunshine,
outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the miles of hiking and biking
trails around the metro Phoenix area as well as the numerous
spas and golf courses concentrated here.
Northern Arizona
Nearly two billion years of Earth’s geological history have
been carved into the 277-mile-long (446 kilometers), one-
mile-deep Grand Canyon in northern Arizona. The play
of shadow and light on the Canyon’s walls create an ever-
changing landscape that leaves visitors awestruck. Outdoor
adventures within Grand Canyon National Park also inspire
thrills. Try rafting through class-four rapids on the Colorado
River, helicoptering into winding canyons or hiking to the
Canyon floor. At an elevation of 2,100 meters, Flagstaff, in
northern Arizona, is the place to go to enjoy the ponderosa
pine forests and unlimited outdoor adventure. In the
summer, it is a popular destination for outdoor recreation
and in the winter, it is a popular location for snow skiing.
Central Arizona
In central Arizona, the Verde Valley is home to former
mining towns with burgeoning wine and art scenes as well as
the majestic town of Sedona known for its crimson red rock
