We are pleased to introduce you to the CANTON INTERNATIONAL SUMMER MUSIC ACADEMY 2005. This three-weeks summer camp could be a unforgettable and precious experience for your musically talented children and students.
The Canton International Summer Music Academy (CISMA) is the first ever professional summer music academy to be established in China. It is an annual international high-level musical cultural event, with music education as the main focus. Approved by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China, the Academy is to be held in Foshan, Guangdong annually commencing on 10 July 2005..
The Academy aims to provide talented young professional musicians, recent conservatory graduates and senior students from within China and the wider Asian region with a unique opportunity to make music with some of the most distinguished artists in the world.

Deadline for Application: May 16, 2005 for students from Mainland China
Deadline for overseas students is subject to the live audition in respective cities, or by sending audition videos which must be received by no later than May 31. Please go to www.cisma.org.cn for details.
Audition: Please go to www.cisma.org.cn for more information about audition. International applicants who are not able to attend live auditions should send audition videos (DVD or VCD) by courier to the CISMA International Students Liaison Office. All audition videos should be received by the CISMA office no later than May 31, 2005.
Application: Students aged 16 and above who are currently enrolled in a conservatory or a secondary music school affiliated to a conservatory, young teachers at a conservatory, and instrument players in a professional orchestra or who have the equivalent qualifications are invited to apply for a place in the Academy. Students aged from 12 to 16 with certain qualification can apply as Young Amateur Students. Fees and Scholarship: Please go to www.cisma.org.cn for details. CISMA provides partial and full scholarship for Orchestra Programme students on the basis of merit for musical excellence which will be subject to the CISMA Music Director and the CISMA Artistic Committee's decision. Live audition is highly recommended for full scholarship acquiring.
