Hewitt Best Employers 2009 AmCham South China Presentation

Organized by AmCham South China On September 1^st Hewitt Best Employers in China 2009 Study Launch was held in Shangri-la Hotel, Guangzhou. This study is the largest employee research and people practices review in the region, covering the Australia/New Zealand, Mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand markets. Beecher Ashley-Brown, Senior Consultant, Greater China, Hewitt, was invited to make a professional presentation in the study kick off meeting. Almost 100 members attended this event to learn more information about the employee engagement.

As regards to the 2009 study, Hewitt decided to introduce a number of new research topics, issues. Those new topics are Part-time employees and contractors, Diversity, and Organizational culture which are key to companies talent management strategies for the coming decade.

At the presentation, corporate members discussed how to benchmark the operation against the “Best Employers in China” with the speaker warmly. And also as the chair of AmCham’s HR committee, Ms. Vicky Wong shared her views on the study conducted by Hewitt.
